Last updated: 14 June 2026. This notice explains how we handle the limited information you choose to submit. It is written to be factual and cautious; it does not claim that any system is perfectly secure or that we are certified compliant with any particular standard.
PlanLiaoMah is an independent educational website that provides general financial-planning calculators for Singapore residents. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to CPF Board, HDB, IRAS, MAS, MoneySense, MOM, LTA, OneMotoring or any Singapore government agency. For privacy queries, use the contact method in section 17.
You can use every calculator without registering and without giving us any personal information. We only receive personal information when you deliberately submit the optional contact form, which collects:
The contact form does not transmit your detailed calculator inputs or results by default — for example your exact income, CPF balances, assets, debts, insurance coverage, mortgage figures, NRIC, policy numbers or medical information. Calculations run in your browser. If a future feature lets you deliberately attach a result summary, you will be shown exactly which fields would be sent and asked to confirm before anything is submitted.
We use the information you submit to respond to your request and to send the educational summary you asked for. If you separately opt in to marketing, we may also send occasional educational updates (see section 13).
The contact form is processed using Netlify Forms. When you submit it, the information passes through and is stored on Netlify's infrastructure so we can read and respond to it. Netlify acts as a processor on our behalf. We do not sell your information.
The site and form submissions are hosted on Netlify, whose servers and sub-processors may be located outside Singapore. Submitting the form may therefore involve transfer and storage of your information overseas. Where personal data is transferred outside Singapore, we take reasonable steps appropriate to the limited information collected; however, overseas processing carries inherent risks that cannot be entirely eliminated.
The calculator app stores your theme and language preference locally in your browser (local storage), which is not shared with us. We aim to keep third-party tracking to a minimum. If analytics or cookies are introduced, this notice will be updated to describe them and, where required, consent will be sought.
Access to submitted form entries is limited to the individual(s) operating PlanLiaoMah who need it to respond to your request. We do not grant general public access to submissions.
We keep contact submissions only as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up you have agreed to, after which we aim to delete them. As a general guide we review submissions periodically and remove those no longer needed.
You may ask us to delete the information you submitted. We will take reasonable steps to do so, subject to any records we are required to keep.
You may withdraw your consent at any time using the contact method in section 17. Withdrawing service-request consent may mean we can no longer respond to an open request; withdrawing marketing consent will stop further marketing messages.
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information you submitted, using the contact method in section 17.
Marketing is optional and separate from a service request. Any marketing opt-in is unticked by default and is never required in order to receive the report or response you asked for. You can opt out at any time.
If you provide a Singapore telephone or WhatsApp number, we will use it to respond to your request. We will not send marketing messages to that number unless you have separately opted in to marketing, and we will respect applicable Do Not Call Registry rules.
We take reasonable, proportionate measures to protect the limited information collected. However, no website, form processor or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot and do not guarantee absolute security.
We may update this notice from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be reflected here.
For privacy questions, access/correction/deletion requests, or to withdraw consent, message us via the WhatsApp link on the PlanLiaoMah homepage and state that your message concerns privacy. We will respond within a reasonable period.
